Based on core values, we regard the protection of our environment as crucial. To this end, Megafreight supports conservation initiatives, and wherever possible follows environmentally friendly processes. We are in the process of establishing an exciting new environmentally friendly business concept that will hopefully be announced soon.
Imperial has also embarked on a number of Black Economic Empowerment initiatives, by establishing the Ukhamba Trust and Bongani Trust to benefit previously disadvantaged employees. Furthermore, Imperial Logistics, which includes Megafreight, is actively involved in various HIV/AIDS initiatives in partnership with the Road Freight Association and the National Bargaining Council for the Road Freight Industry. This includes clinics and training centres for truck drivers throughout the country.
